Altangle in the press
Perfect for flat surfaces
Our insert is for those who find themselves frequently using Connect on flat, countertop-like surfaces.
Full disclosure: I’m an ambassador for Altangle and I got a chance to try out the Connect Air early during a photoshoot… so while this may be a slightly biased review, it is my honest feedback.
Living out of my van most of the year, space is at a premium, and Altangle products have always been a win for me. Before Connect Air, I used the original Connect on a computer monitor mount inside my van because I didn't have any external attachments to work with. This new setup allows me to work on my bike outside the van, which i prefer most of the time.
I’ve used SeaSucker products before and have always been impressed with their quality, so I was pumped about this collaboration.
Honestly, the Connect Air lives up to the hype - it's solid as a rock. The SeaSucker vacuum cups are so robust that even one or two would probably suffice, but with three, stability and strength are out of the question.
A quick note for mountain bikers: if you're doing more ‘in-depth’ maintenance, I would definitely consider the Pro Bar version. Without it, you’ll probably need to angle your bike slightly for bar clearance - not a huge deal, but the extra length the Pro Bar offers is pretty nice for accessibility, especially on the non-drive side of the bike. I also like having the ability to quickly rotate the bike while it’s in the stand, which the Pro Bar allows for.
All in all I 100% recommend the product for anyone in a van.
I travel via air out of state for a few events. My bike case requires a high level of disassembly and in the past that meant reassembly with the frame laying on the floor. Used it recently when in Tucson for El Tour and it was great. I have a full blown service stand, yet can see using the Hangar Connect at home.
Got the Hanger Connect to work on our bikes on road trips. Mount it on our van's rear ladder and have perfect set up to do most any maintenance you'd need away from home.
I'm based in UK so was expecting a little delay on delivery but received within 7 days. Very pleased.
I have tried the Connect on the bike rack on back of my Campervan with my heaviest MTB and seems to be functional (more worried about the bike rack!). Looking forward to using in anger when on the road.
I travel two to three times a year in a pickup and and Australian camper, primarily in the Western U.S. for 4-5 weeks at a time. I have always carried a full-size bike stand in the back of my pickup. After every trip I find that the vibration from rugged roads has caused the stand to disassemble on its own. So, before my latest trip, I searched for an alternative and found the Hanger Connect. Wow, what a find! It’s small, light, very well-designed and the quality of the materials and manufacture are exceptional. It clamps to a round bar on the after-market off-road bumper on my pickup and holds my bikes securely for lubrication and servicing. I’m completely satisfied with this product and recommend it highly.
